Summary (IMDB): Hansel & Gretel are bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. As the fabled Blood Moon approaches, the siblings encounter a new form of evil that might hold a secret to their past.
When Hansel & Gretel was first released i watched the 3D version at the cinema and loved it. The effects worked well as 3D, it’s actually one of the best movies for 3D I’ve seen. One of the good things about H&G is that it doesn’t need to be watched in 3D though, the effects are brilliant on standard TV’s and that can’t be said for a lot of the newer movies.
H&G has a lot of funny moments which breaks up the action scenes and is a refreshing twist on the old legend. Arterton and Renner are ideal for this role, they have a good chemistry on screen which brings the backstory to life. Mears makes an adorable troll and Janssen (X-men/Hemlock Grove) excels as Muriel the evil witch.
